September's Reflection 2025
September's Reflection: A Month of Movement, Emotion & Growth
September was a month that moved fast and deep. As I look back, I’m struck by the range of experiences, emotions, and insights that shaped it.
Starting Strong with Speaker School
I kicked off the month with Speaker School with Gerry Duffy, a course I booked months ago and one I’d recommend to anyone, regardless of your role or experience. It was a whopper of a day: well delivered, energising, and full of clarity. I left with a renewed sense of direction and confidence.
Deep Learning & Emotional Insight
Mid-month brought a powerful trio of experiences:
- A group coach supervision session, where I learned deeply from the shared wisdom of fellow coaches.
- A transformative Inner Team workshop with Jenny Stacey and Tsafi Lederman. One sentence during this workshop stopped me in my tracks, triggering a visceral memory. It was uncomfortable, but healing. The space created was safe, supportive, and deeply impactful.
- A mix of client transitions, finishing with some, starting with others and a new project that’s already energising.
Connection & Community
I attended the RDS Members’ Night, reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones. I also joined the Professional Speakers Association September meetup, which featured excellent speakers and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re curious, I highly recommend attending as a guest.
One of the most meaningful parts of the month was catching up with former clients. These conversations were filled with joy, sadness, and real connection. It reminded me how important it is to reach out. I’ve committed to doing this monthly, just one person, one hello. You never know what it might mean to someone.
Health, Healing & Adventure
I kept up my strength training, increased my walking, and prioritised both physical and emotional health. That included:
- A visit to my new doctor
- A session with my bio-kinesiologist
- A powerful experience with my Emotional Code coach
And then there was Avondale Forest Park. A rainy Saturday turned into a romantic adventure with Billy. Despite my fear of heights, I climbed the Avondale Treetop Tower. I didn’t walk around the top, but I stood there, counted bolts, and faced a fear! I’ll be back next year to try again!
Looking Ahead
September was a month of movement, physically, emotionally, and professionally. October is already shaping up to be just as full. I’m grateful for the momentum and the lessons, and I’m excited for what’s next..
Let’s Make it possible.
