July's Reflection 2025
July Reflection: A Month of Unexpected Momentum
I began July with the assumption that it would be a quiet month. After all, July is traditionally a time when many take holidays, slow down, and recharge. But as the days unfolded, I quickly realised that this month had other plans for me and what a ride it turned out to be.
Elevating Communication at The Edge
The month kicked off with a powerful event:
Elevate Your Communication Skills with Phillip Khan-Panni at The Edge. I was surrounded by an extraordinary group of people, each bringing their own energy, insights, and openness.
The session was rich with takeaways, from the nuances of impactful storytelling to the importance of listening with intention. It was a reminder that communication is not just about speaking well, but about connecting deeply.

Client Crises and Coaching Breakthroughs
Then came a wave of client challenges, both in coaching and financial consulting. It was a period of high demand, requiring me to reinforce boundaries around my time and energy.
I found myself navigating tense situations, defusing conflicts, and helping clients find clarity amidst chaos. Amidst the intensity, I had the joy of conducting a few in-person sessions. These are always special. The energy in the room, the breakthroughs, the decisions made. There’s something irreplaceable about face-to-face connection.

Networking and Inspiration
July was also rich in connection. I had several 1-to-1 meetings with inspiring individuals whose stories and perspectives left a mark.
One standout moment was the PSA Ireland gathering in Dublin. We began with a dynamic Mastermind session and were treated to talks that sparked creativity and practical wisdom. Amanda Grace spoke on creative wayfinding, Olga Geidane offered grounded advice for speakers, and Phillip Khan-Panni closed with a keynote and a song! It was a celebration of voice, vision, and community.

Laughter and Lightness
Not everything was work. I carved out time for joy and laughter, including a cinema date night to see Superman. While it didn’t quite hit the mark for me, others loved it.
The real highlight was the PaddyPower Comedy Festival, thanks to my brilliant friend Una Crilly. It was my first time attending, and I laughed until my cheeks hurt. Neil Delamere stole the show for me, sharp, witty, and utterly hilarious.

Systems, Strength, and Self-Care
Behind the scenes, I focused on getting systems back in place, testing, refining, and preparing for the months ahead.
I also prioritised self-care. I had my annual check-up and began strength and resistance training. Starting something new is always humbling. I was the beginner, asking questions, not understanding the lingo, and needing help. But I breathed through the discomfort, took it slow, and observed. Eventually, I found my rhythm and lifted a 15kg bar.
It might seem small, but for me, it was a dream realised. I danced internally. It was a moment of pride, progress, and possibility
Moments of Reflection and Connection
Throughout the month, I took short 15-minute pauses to reflect on each week and prepare for the next. These moments helped me stay grounded and intentional.
I also had a lovely lunch catch-up with an old colleague, someone I’ve always admired. Seeing her thrive in her career was a beautiful reminder of growth, resilience, and the power of connection.

A Bittersweet Ending
July ended on a slightly lower note, I dropped my laptop. It’s one of those things that happens to all of us at some point, and while frustrating, it’s also a nudge to embrace imperfection and look forward. A new one arrives in August, and with it, fresh energy and new beginnings.
Final Thoughts
July surprised me. It was anything but quiet. It was a month of movement, momentum, and meaning. From laughter to learning, from challenges to celebrations. I’m grateful for it all.
Here’s to August and all the possibilities it holds.
Let’s Make it possible.
